Project Overview
My work with Mission Development Group has spanned digital, marketing and event experiences across the organization and its development portfolio.
The largest initiative was a complete redesign of the Mission Development Group website. Working within the existing WordPress environment and content structure, I developed a new visual direction from the ground up—first exploring page structures and user experience in Figma, then translating the system into the final website.
Additional work has included property marketing, grand opening events, environmental graphics, video production and creative support for the Faith Based Housing Initiative.
Redesigning the Digital Presence
The existing website contained a substantial amount of valuable company and project information, but its visual presentation no longer reflected the organization’s work or portfolio.
Rather than simply reskinning the existing template, I approached the redesign as a new visual system—reconsidering hierarchy, typography, imagery, navigation and page composition while preserving the core content and established brand.
The goal was to create a more contemporary experience that better presented Mission Development Group, its leadership and its growing portfolio of communities.
From Structure to Experience
Before development began, I used Figma to explore the structure and hierarchy of key pages including Home, Projects, About, News and Contact.
These early layouts helped establish content flow, image placement and page relationships before moving into WordPress, allowing the final visual system to remain consistent across the site.
Translating the System Into WordPress
After establishing the page structure in Figma, I translated the visual direction into the existing WordPress environment and rebuilt the website experience around the new system.
The final site uses consistent typography, spacing, imagery and content hierarchy across corporate information, leadership, project portfolios and news—creating a flexible framework that can continue to grow with the organization.
Extending the Brand Beyond Digital
The partnership has also extended into marketing and event communications for Mission Development Group properties and affiliated initiatives. From digital campaigns and event collateral to environmental graphics and video, each application was developed to support the individual property or initiative while maintaining a cohesive professional experience.
